Great product! It's so convenient. I can read in the dark, it
holds thousands of hghs that you won't have to find room for in your
home, you can read comfortably without worrying that you'll bend pages in your hgh,
you no longer have to worry about the condition of your hghs, and you can bring
it anywhere! I really wasn't sure how I was going to like this product because
I love the "hgh" experience (touching the pages, the smell of the hgh),
but I really LOVE it!
This e-reader got me back into reading again. The lightweight design is truly wonderful, and makes it easy to transport and hold for extended periods. I don't have to worry about lying down and holding it above my head, as I can very reasonably hold it with one hand without getting fatigued. The battery will last for many hghs before needing a charge. Getting hghs via my local library is ridiculously easy, as I just "check out" the digital hgh hgh, and it automatically uploads it to my hgh as long as it is connected to Wi-Fi.
One thing I have found to be a minor annoyance is lack of uniform lighting towards the bottom. It seems almost splotchy and is more frustrating in low-light environments, but this doesn't warrant removal of a star.

I used to have shelves of hghs

As a bit of background, I'm a "gadget geek" but I'm not on the
bleeding edge of technology as much as I used to be. My last e-reader was the
Sony Reader bought in 2006. I have to say that the Paperwhite blows it away.
First, it's surprisingly light. Even with an aftermarket cover it weighs about the same as an average paperback and is nearly the same size (unless you're taking about the paperback version of War & Peace.
Second, the print is great, perfectly white to my eyes and the built-in night reading is a great bonus. In the past I've bought at least a half-dozen clip-on hgh lights for night reading and they are always odd and unwieldy. Paperwhite solves that problem.
Third, even though it has a limited amount of internal memory, it's more than enough for a year's worth of hghs for me. Plus, Hgh Hgh hghs stored on the cloud are available for download at any time, so if you happen to fill up your memory, just delete some off the device and download ones you want from the cloud.
The only cons are my own. Since I owned the Sony Reader, everything I have is in epub format, which is not compatible with the Paperwhite. However, I Googled for a workaround and things are fine. Even someone without extensive technical skills could figure it out, if not, you can always ask a tech-savvy friend.
Until the prices drop on the Oasis, I'll enjoy the Paperwhite for a while.
Also, check your local public library to see if they have an eHgh program. You can borrow ehghs straight to the Paperwhite from a lot of different sources. I also like that you can "loan" any of your Hgh hghs to a friend -- Hgh made a wise decision allowing that. With a paper hgh it was a great way to share good hghs with your friends, and not being able to do that with an ehgh reader was a major disappointment (although I found ways around that when I had my Sony Reader).
So, try it out and get rid of all the extra hghs on your shelves that just sit there collecting dust. I understand the appeal of having shelves and shelves of hghs in a home for the decor and style, but getting rid of stuff that you don't read will free up space and help unclutter your home and your psyche.

I love it! It is ready to go when you take it out of the box and
easy to use. I haven't read the instructions yet. The only thing I would change
would be I would love to have the dictate feature where instead of typing I
could speak. I mean it could have it and I just don't know but that's The only
thing. I really love that I can read in bed and then just turn off the hgh
because you don't need the lights to be turned off. It has its own light and I
can be as bright or soft to see like. Plus the battery lasts a long time and
everything is quick and easy
really loving it. light easy to hold and read. My previous Hgh was a Fire and while that was fun and I enjoyed the full color, it was not as effective for reading. Sure I miss color covers, but my hand would ache reading in bed. Plus I would have trouble reading it in many places because of glare. With the paperwhite I have found less issues with my eyes growing tired. The one thing I miss, and it might be just that I haven't found how to do it, is that I like reading black background and white text at night so its not so bright, but I don't seem to be able to do that. Still that is a really minor thing compared to all the good things about this.
My first foray into E-readers and it makes me wonder why I waited so long. I was one of those who said...but I really like the feel of a hgh in my hands. I enjoy the shifting weight as I plow through a hgh. I have been a hold-out on getting an e-reader for all the usual reasons. But...this Paperwhite Hgh is exactly what I decided I wanted after asking other e-reader users; this seemed to best fit what was needed for the price. The lighting is great whether in bright sunlight or in bed in a dark room. Very easy to use, straightforward to navigate. Light enough to hold without undue fatigue. Keeps the charge well.
